Listen Up
Submitted by Dawn on Sun, 03/14/2010 - 11:06amHello to all. We have finally set a date for our silent auction. It will be held in conjunction with Thurston County's second annual "Secondhand Safari". The event takes place Saturday May 1st from 8am-3pm at the Thurston County fairgrounds in Lacey, Wa. At our booth spaces we will have a variety of items for sale at discount prices; clothing for different ages, small appliances, entertainment centers, and home furnishings will all be there.
As for the auction portion, that will be in the same space but decorated and displayed beautifully to highlight the wonderful items we have for you. Our list of auction items is rapidly growing so we hope that you will come check us out!
Quick update
Submitted by Stephanie on Fri, 03/05/2010 - 3:09am
I know it has been a while and there are many reasons for that. I am going to keep this update short though as I really need to try and get some rest while I can. Jessica is sick once again with another cold. She had one really good week after being sick for 3 weeks with what is thought to be RSV and viral pneumonia. Now she is sick again with mainly sinus stuff until Thursday and now it seems as though it is moving into her chest. She has also once again had some croup with this mess and then on Thursday she wanted nothing to eat or drink. Needless to say we are headed into the pedi office on Friday but her appointment is not scheduled until 4pm. I didn't want an appointment that late in the day but really had no other choice.
Partylite Candle Party Fundraiser
Submitted by Dawn on Sun, 02/28/2010 - 2:10pmYesterday I hosted a Partylite Candle party and 20% of the sales went to Jessica's campaign. There were about 9 orders and we raised just over $100! We are creeping closer and closer to our $25,000 goal by the end of June :o) Look for an e-mail campaign to raise funds in March (kidney awareness month), it is coming very soon.
Update on Jessica

Jessica is doing about the same. Over the weekend we thought that we may have to take her to the ER. but we were able to avoid that. Thank goodness. After back to back breathing treatments and a dose of prednisolone Jessica started to improve. We are still not out of the woods yet as Jessica really is not much better. Her temperatures are lower and that is about the only improvement that we have seen. She was actually able to take a nap for 2 hours straight today without waking up from coughing. So that was really good she needed it. She is still looking exhausted. We all now have some of this cold or whatever it is but we are hanging in there.
Quick update on Jessica

Hi everyone,
I am so sorry for not posting on here in such a long time. I am wanting to post a much longer update in the near future but for now I am going to keep this short. Sorry....
Jessica is sick :o(
Submitted by Dawn on Thu, 02/04/2010 - 5:49pmPlease keep Jessica in your thoughts. She has bronchitis and quite a bit of congestion in her airway. Jess is a very strong little girl but can only take so much. She has had a high fever with this latest illness and that adds to the concern.
Another exciting auction item
Submitted by Dawn on Wed, 02/03/2010 - 9:17amI was just informed that we have something special coming from WSU, home of the Cougars. I am awaiting it in the mail and will post more info when it gets here. Another item we have is a beautiful handmade quilt worth at least $80! I hope you all are as excited as I am about this event.
Also keep in mind that we will be participating in our county's "Secondhand Safari," a community garagle sale, in May. We are seeking your donations for this as well. Do some early Spring cleaning, go through your kids' clothes, clear the clutter and donate your gently used items to us :o)
Seeking non-monetary donations
Submitted by Dawn on Thu, 01/28/2010 - 8:02pmHello all, we are seeking all sorts of donations for our upcoming auction as well as some supplies for the Freeway Rest Stop events later in the year. If you have coffee, cups, cocoa, tea, or other related items we would love to be in touch. Please contact a campaign member to arrange pick up. Once again I would like to thank everyone for supporting the Cross family.
