Seeking non-monetary donations
Submitted by Dawn on Thu, 01/28/2010 - 8:02pmHello all, we are seeking all sorts of donations for our upcoming auction as well as some supplies for the Freeway Rest Stop events later in the year. If you have coffee, cups, cocoa, tea, or other related items we would love to be in touch. Please contact a campaign member to arrange pick up. Once again I would like to thank everyone for supporting the Cross family.

Kidney appt results
Submitted by Dawn on Sat, 01/16/2010 - 12:32pmJessica is doing remarkably well for her condition. The doctors are pleased with how long her kidney has lasted and how well it's doing considering. Several small changes need to be made such as formula, types of food eaten by mouth, potty routines and lab draws/UAs. For the most part Jessica is stable but only time will tell with new medications and the other changes being made. Knock on wood that things continue to along a smooth path, rather than a rocky one :o)
Big appointment today
Submitted by Dawn on Thu, 01/14/2010 - 9:37amStephanie is taking Jessica for an appointment with her head kidney doctor @ Seattle Children's today. Much will be discussed, so please be hopeful for a good outcome that includes a plan of action for the coming months.
Celebrating 6 months and looking forward
Submitted by Dawn on Sat, 01/02/2010 - 10:35amWell, we have had a tremendous first 6 months of our campaign. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that has helped big or small. Everything, and I mean everything is greatly appreciated. With the help of some generous donors, local volunteers and our gracious community we have managed to raise almost $12,000! That is nearly 25% of our goal.
I want to send a big thank you to all participating businesses that have allowed our collection canisters to be placed in your store/office. This is where the majority of our donations come from, so without your support we would not be as far along as we are.
Santa came for an early visit
Submitted by Dawn on Thu, 12/24/2009 - 1:13pmAn exciting evening at the Cross household last night. Santa came and Jessica wasn't too sure about him at first. It was if you could see the thought bubble above her head that said "Who's this guy in the red suit?" Everyone enjoyed themselves and Santa was excited to see everyone in person. Thank you Santa and good luck tonight. I'll be leaving some cookies out for sure!
A big thank you to Yelm Family Medicine
Submitted by Dawn on Sat, 12/19/2009 - 1:10pmWhere do I start? What a wonderful bunch of people. I guess I should start with some history; Jessica's grandma used to work at the YFM clinic. Every year the employees give the doctors/providers a group gift. This year the amazing employees decided to donate all of the money collected ($675) to our campaign in the providers' name. If that wasn't incredible enough, once presented with the gift the providers decided to match it on the spot! So, incredibly the YFM clinic donated a total of $1,350! I am just floored with their generosity. Thank you so very much, it's a great gift this holiday season.
WE DID IT!
Submitted by Dawn on Wed, 12/16/2009 - 12:52pmYes! We are over the $10,000 mark. Congratulations and thank you to everyone that has been helping support us. This is a wonderful surprise today. I grow more and more amazed by the day with all of your support for this famiy. Let's keep going strong. Have a very Merry Christmas.
Entertainment fundraiser is a HUGE success
Submitted by Dawn on Mon, 12/14/2009 - 4:50pmThis morning, I officially closed the Entertainment fundraiser. We made a grand total of $860! This is already reflected in the donation thermometer. We appreciate everyone who either bought a book or donated their time in selling books for us. A great big applause to J.C. and his friends at work. He sold the most books by far :o) We are planning this for next year as well so mark it on your calendars for the end of August. Thanks again to the businesses that let us use their storefront to have tables for selling books.
Wow! Almost $10,000 raised so far
Submitted by Dawn on Thu, 12/10/2009 - 6:50pmHello everyone and thank you. With your help we have raised nearly $10,000 in only 5 1/2 months! Way to go. We have a goal to raise $25,000 by the end of June 2010 and we are about half way there. If we make this goal COTA will grant our campaign an additional $5,000! We will need your continued support to make this happen. We have a large event planned to take place in March, so stay tunned for the details. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, Dawn.
